Get support with sustainable business growth

Business growth in Surrey will create job opportunities and support communities. And with the ever-increasing demand for green skills and technology, now is a great chance to support businesses to move towards a sustainable economy.

A sustainable economy is one of Surrey County Council’s four strategic priorities. Surrey County Council has secured central government funding to co-design and deliver skills courses that would support growing economic sectors, creating local jobs and providing upskilling opportunities at a low cost.

Over 500 people have signed up for these ‘Skills Bootcamps’, demonstrating the value of growth which is based on the benefits for Surrey residents.

From electrical installation of solar panels to home energy efficiency improvements, there are several courses you can benefit from to create a skilled workforce capable of meeting the local demand. This would, in turn, benefit your organisation through:

  • Being at the forefront in driving transition to a greener future.
  • Motivating your employees by encouraging the workforce to gain new skills.
  • Strengthening the reputation of your organisation for green initiatives and sustainable operations and management.
  • Building a great relationship with the local community by providing the residents with measures to improve their quality of life.
