Choosing a new heating system

We need heat and hot water to survive the cold seasons, but using the traditional gas boiler entails emitting loads of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. In 2020, the average household emitted 2,690kg of carbon dioxide (CO2) just for heating and hot water, and we need to reduce this to 140kg per household until 2050 to reach the net zero target. As half of our energy bills are spent on heating and hot water, upgrading the heating system would be an efficient strategy to partake in climate action while gaining monetary savings.*
68% of Surrey residents agree that action on climate change is important**, and replacing your existing heating system with a better one is one way to contribute to the county’s climate goals while enjoying cozy temperatures and savings in your bank account.

Choosing a better heating system for your home is a meaningful contribution you can make for yourself and the environment. Benefits include:

  • Saving money on your energy bills. You can even make huge cuts to your annual bills when you add solar panels and a battery!
