Join Surrey Wilder Communities

Communities across the UK are playing a huge role in reversing nature loss and restoring local environments – over 200 communities across the UK have taken part in The Wildlife Trust’s Nextdoor Nature programme. The Wilder Communities Network is a great way for you to get support with Surrey wildlife projects.

Every neighbourhood can be a home for wildlife, and with a little help from leading organisations like Surrey Wildlife Trust,  your area can be part of a great collaboration to reverse nature loss.

With nature struggling across the globe, there’s never been a better time to join – or even start – a community wildlife project.

Locally, Surrey Wildlife Trust (SWT) is at the forefront of reversing nature loss, and their Wilder Communities Network is a key part of nature recovery efforts in Surrey.

Wilder Communities is looking to support community groups in Guildford, Bramley, Shalford, Wonersh, Worplesdon, Hambledon, Farnham, Haslemere, Godalming, Dorking, Redhill and Reigate, to restore, connect and protect local green spaces for wildlife. Whether you’re a local group managing an area of land, a ‘Friends of’ group, parish council, community allotment, faith group, local interest group or gardening club - the support of your community is vital in connecting Surrey’s nature. Signing up for Surrey Wildlife Trust’s Wilder Communities, offers numerous benefits:
