Diocese Net Zero Conference 2026
On Saturday 17th January 2026, the Church of England dioceses of Portsmouth, Guildford, Chichester and Winchester hosted the annual Net Zero Conference. The aim of the event was to bring together people from across the three dioceses to learn from one another and encourage collaboration, ultimately to work towards their net zero target together.
Over 150 delegates attended to listen to speakers and panels, as well as take part in workshops. The day was designed to inspire, learn from real case studies and to hear practical advice, covering topics such as communication, how to access funding, ways to collaborate with schools and many others.
Caring for God’s creation has become increasingly important for congregations across Surrey, with fantastic work taking place across the county. Events such as these bring churches together, to align in their environmental ambition and be better prepared to support the communities they serve.
